If you give a kid a book…
They might open it up
And see a story about a velveteen rabbit
Or a poky lil pup.
They might get captivated by the
Artwork & by the text
And then want to keep reading
To see what happens next.
They can go on amazing adventures &
Travel to far-off lands,
And with each great story,
Their love for reading will expand.
The more they read,
The more their imaginations will grow.
And just like Dr. Seuss said
The more things they will know.
They will read from cover to cover
Until the book is done,
And then when they are finished
They will want another one.
Give a kid a book!
